“My work is an ongoing exploration of space through the movement of lines and the play of light“

Marian Ripoll is a jewellery artist based in London.

Growing up in a family of creatives in Mallorca, Spain, she developed a natural inclination for design and experimenting with materials. After honing her skills in architecture for many years, she completed a diploma in Jewellery Manufacturing in 2016, rekindling her love for making and inspiring her current practice that combines three-dimensional thinking and design experience with the technical expertise of a silversmith.

Marian's pieces are meticulously handcrafted using precious metals and upcycled materials, resulting in an intriguing interplay of precision and symmetry with a sense of visual tension. She draws inspiration from the exploration of space, the movement of lines, and the play of light and shadow. This ongoing exploration infuses her work with a dynamic quality, resulting in sculptural pieces that are as captivating as they are functional.

Marian's delicate work can often be displayed on walls when not being worn, allowing for their interaction with natural light. This creates a mesmerizing effect that showcases the intricate interplay between the object and its environment.

"I love how objects dance with natural light, casting ever-changing shadows”
